Description
Saturday September 21, 1935 Horse Racing Program from Havre-De-Grace Racetrack in Maryland. The Feature race was THE POTOMAC for 3 year olds which started in 1919 and was won by SIR BARTON. In 1920 it was won by Man O' War and in subsequent years won by Sun Beau, Dark Secret and Discovery. 5 Hall of Famer's. Not many races ever held would have this kind of history! In 1935 BLACK HELEN who is also in the Hall of Fame ran although she did not win it! The last year for the Potomac was 1948. This track no longer exists and was closed in 1950 the greatest horses raced there to include Seabiscuit and War Admiral. Sad to think such a historic track is gone. Program is in good condition and was completely scored in pencil throughout. E-mail if you have any questions.
