    Description

When Cassandra had attained her 16th year, she was lovely & amiable, & chancing to fall in love with an elegant Bonnet her Mother had just compleated, bespoke by the Countess of ----, she placed it on her gentle Head & walked from her Mother's shop to make her Fortune.
    The Beautiful Cassandra
    Jane Austen
This adorable cottage bonnet is similar to one worn by Jane Fairfax at the Box Hill Picnic in the recent BBC adaptation of Emma. The Cottage Bonnet style was very popular during the Regency (it experienced a resurgence during the Victorian era) and is noted by the shallow crown and brim, which reaches just to the edge of a blushing cheek.
This plain bonnet will be perfect for trimming to match any gown you choose! I've added a sample of my own ideas as the final picture, but there are so many ways to dress up this adorable bonnet! It's quite addicting!
This listing is for the plain bonnet, as shown in the first image. If you would like a trimmed version, feel free to contact me about custom
colors and trimmings. I'm always happy to try something new. Search online for Austentation: Regency Accessories to see my full line of products shipped from my smoke free home.
I have several hats and bonnets available, so check out my other
listings! If you would like to combine your orders, I will refund any
extra shipping that you have paid. The same applies for multiples of the
    same item.
