    Description

    PELICAN - 'PLUG IN NECK & HEAD'
    This vintage prewar hollow cast lead zoo figure is the Pelican Wings Spread, Closed Beak with plug in neck and head which enables a variety of 'poses'. It is something I have never seen before.  This has no markings and is very similar to  the Britains version but this has the wings a little closer to the body and held a little higher, also unlike Britains the tail reaches the ground providing more stability. This could perhaps be by the French firm Mignot who used plug in heads for their figures. Measuring 1.50 inches high and 1.0 inches across this is in good undamaged condition with a fair amount of paint loss. (See photos).
