    This is the autograph of
    Sonny Rhodes
    (b. 1940)
    an American blues singer and lap steel guitar player.
    He was born Clarence Edward Mauldin, but was
    adopted by a couple named Smith, and thus
    became
    Clarence Smith. He began performing
    in the late 1950s. In 1967 he changed his name
    to Sonny Rhodes. He has recorded at least
    two hundred songs, and has released more than
    a dozen albums.
    The
