, or "make a reasonable offer". I am offering this outstanding horse racing memorabilia "as found", which is housed in a very nice brown & gold wooden frame and "under glass" along with very fine matting. The measurements for the frame are approximately
19" x 15"
. The die-cut matting features a wonderful
Eddie Arcaro
autograph (looks like a simple ballpoint pen signature, and looks to be an older example) towards the bottom of the frame, and reads:
"Good Luck - Eddie Arcaro"
. The colors of the matting are light blue and black. The photographic image of jockey Arcaro and trainer Fitzsimmons does not appear to be an actual "photograph" (it is not "glossy", as most photos are); it is a rather large image that could have been removed from a magazine or publication of some sort. The description of the photographic image reads as follows:
"A classic consultation. Sunny Jim Fitzsimmons, trainer of the great Nashua, tells jockey Eddie Arcaro, just before the heralded 0,000 match race between Nashua and Swaps at Chicago's Washington Park in 1955, 'I've done all I can do. You're the engineer now'. Between the two, they did it well because Nashua was an easy winner that afternoon".
Both Arcaro and Fitzsimmons are pictured on a horserace track, on the infield with fans visible in the stands in the backround. This horse racing memorabilia offers a collector a "ready-made" display, featuring first-class matting/framing, a wonderful photographic image

the brown paper backing on the frame's reverse exhibits some tears (see photo). Otherwise, in very *Fine Shape* overall!!
